Calling all intersex creators! We’re hosting an Intersex Art Jam on October 26, 2024, and you’re invited–all skill levels and art forms welcome.

Come celebrate Intersex Awareness Day in community with other intersex people as we draw, craft, talk about our latest projects, or just hang out in a supportive atmosphere. We will meet at Monkey Nest Coffee on 5353 Burnet Road in “The Nest,” their private meeting space, from 3-6 PM.

This is an intersex-focused space that accepts people with a variety of relationships to intersex identity. You’re welcome to join in, whether you’ve been an intersex rights activist all your life, or you’re just now exploring the possibility that you are intersex, or you fit under the umbrella but aren’t sure how you feel about the term “intersex,” or anything in between.

This event is free and open to all intersex people!

We consider “intersex” to be an umbrella term for people with differences in sex traits or reproductive anatomy, which may include chromosomes, body parts, or hormones. Anyone born with a difference in these traits is welcome.

COVID PRECAUTIONS: This is a masks-required event. We will be providing masks to anyone who needs one. There will also be air filters in the room with us. However, the venue does not require masks.
