Austin's Premier Transgender and Intersex Art Festival!

Prepare for a riveting weekend of music, film, performance, and visual art. This is no ordinary pride event. This is no ordinary art show. Trans and intersex communities from across Texas welcome the general public to come celebrate our visible selves, revel in our creations, and be mesmerized by an artistically cultivated experience.

Single Day and Full Weekend Badges are Available.

Local, National, and International Artists! On our stage, enjoy the renowned poetry of Alok Vaid-Menon and music from Krudas Cubensi, Emma Ruth and Strange Angels, Girlfriend ATX, Q the Sound, and Lazarus Letcher. In our visual art gallery, witness the thought provoking activist work of Koomah, striking abstract work by Charlie Blake and Angyl Dreams, gorgeous portraits by Drew Riley and Catherine Graffam, and dramatic sculpture by Rachel Stevens. This list is just a small sample of our artists! See our full lineup at www.genderunbound.org

While this event is for art and entertainment, it is also a community event for healing and celebration through creative expression. We also connect attendees to resources that are vital to the health (physical, mental, and emotional) of trans and intersex communities. In addition, the night offers a rare opportunity for the general public to learn about sex and gender minorities in a context outside of celebrity coming-out stories or bathroom legislation. We want people to see that trans and intersex people are talented, complex human beings, not controversial stereotypes. We encourage the general public to come ready to absorb, learn, and enjoy.

At Blue Genie Art Bazaar, an ADA-accessible venue that is only a block away from the Highland MetroRail Station and an adjacent bus stop. Limited on-site parking is available for free. Assistive listening devices available upon request. Please check our website or the Facebook event page for more information.
