Artist Statement:
This sculpture is mostly made of silk and wool, and it is meant to be touched and eventually fall apart. Think about softness, the process of fraying and unraveling, and one’s self as a translucent membrane that the sun travels through. I am thinking about how love and beauty are the product of time and attention. Every stitch here was made by hand.
