Artist Statement:

Venus as a Boy explores conceptions of beauty, romance, and the transmasculine body, A robust, masculine, trans male torso is juxtaposed with the soft and intimate motifs of waves, foam, and glittering pearls. “Venus s a Boy” is a love letter to my own beauty, and the beauty of my community at large. Transmasculine people are beautiful, human, and vulnerable, and we deserve to know love and tenderness just as we are.
